There’s a problem that’s plaguing many animal shelters. Due to overcrowding, dogs that don’t get adopted quickly are, unfortunately, put down. Since there is no one to adopt them, it is the only “solution” to overcrowding, and while it’s sad, it’s sometimes necessary.
Benny was a dog who was headed in that direction. He was waiting, and waiting, and waiting for someone to adopt him, but as the days passed, shelter volunteers feared he was destined to become a death row dog. Luckily for Benny, the day before he was set to be euthanized, a Christmas miracle occurred and he was adopted! His reaction is priceless.
This special little guy captured the hearts of everyone who stopped by his kennel. He hit the jackpot when this beautiful family chose to take him home. Thanks for all you SHARING, checkout his FREEDOM WALK filled with lots of jumps and tail wagging! What a happy and lucky day for Benny. I bet his future holds tons of dog treats and toys under a Christmas tree! Hopefully some more dogs will be adopted as more people learn about the overcrowding problem in these shelters. This holiday season, consider adopting over shopping!
