The phenomenon known as “sky trumpets” has been around for a quite a while now. If you’re not familiar with it, it comes about when trumpet-like noises emanate from the sky in every direction. All of this sounds like something from a bad sci-fi movie, but this weirdness happens around the world. There are plenty of videos to prove it.
The latest video comes to us from Istanbul, Turkey. Residents there experienced the phenomenon from the early hours of December 30 until the following day.

According to those who have studied sky trumpets, it’s possible that the noises are the result of Earth’s natural radio transmissions. Still, that’s not very comforting when the world is screaming all around you.
