Most of us believe that oceans are the greatest unknown regions on the planet, and by most accounts, they are. However, other bodies of water like rivers and streams can sometimes hold terrifying surprises as well.
It’s easy for an afternoon fishing expedition to go from relaxing to nightmarish when giant fish show up to the party — a lesson that these Brazilian fishermen learned the hard way. This footage was taken shortly after a group of men caught a truly massive fish down by the river.
As you can see, it was so big that they had a hard time getting it to budge.

On the plus side, there’s one less giant fish on the loose. I’ll also wager dollars to donuts that the monster tasted delicious.
