My personal reaction to finding a jar that’s holding a Goliath birdeater spider would to keep that jar closed forever, or maybe throw it into a well.
But tarantulaguy1976 and his wife seem to treat their tarantulas like their own children. Watch his wife interact with their pet Goliath birdeater, affectionately named Zilla. It’s exactly the opposite of how any sane person would act around this kind of spider.
That sound Zilla makes while coming out of her jar will probably haunt me for the rest of my life. It sounds like she’s shaking maracas of doom. According to the YouTube comments, “tarantulas [can] make noise when they move because their pedipalps and fangs are rubbing together.”
…or they just want you to have nightmares for the rest of your life.
