The last time Jordan Jacobs’ mother heard from him, he told her that the family would never see him again.
The 21-year-old was traveling in Thailand, and he’s been missing for almost a week now. The only clue the family has about his whereabouts is the foreboding message he gave his mother from a stranger’s phone, in which he also said that a mysterious Thai man wouldn’t let him leave. She could hear the terror in his voice.
Jordan Jacobs was meant to fly home to Lyneham, England, earlier this week, but something stopped him from reaching the airport.
Jordan had been flying between the islands of Phi Phi in Thailand, only taking free (and probably dubious) flights.
He was last seen on Ko Phi Phi Don at a place called PP Restaurant. This is where he called his mother from the phone of a Cypriot tourist. The tourist said Jordan had no shoes or bag.
During the call, Jordan also explained that an unknown man was refusing to let him leave the island. He said he was afraid of him.
After the call, Jordan’s sister, Emily, did get in touch with him briefly through Facebook. She asked if he was okay, but all Jordan said was, “I’ve said too much. I can’t talk. I love you.”
Emily Jacobs posted the following status on Facebook, begging anyone with information to come forward. It’s been shared about 18,000 times so far.
It’s been 4 days since someone last saw my little brother. Please keep sharing and posting, it is helping. We are being…

Jordan was seen with a local Thai man in his late 20s, but nobody knows if this is the man Jordan was afraid of. It is believed that the man once worked on a farm on Ko Phi Phi Don. The family wants anyone with information to reach out as soon as possible.
Update — The “missing” man has been found.
Apparently, Jacobs simply gave his family the scare of their lives. He has turned up unharmed…and unfazed that he caused so much anxiety for his family.
He had just been “chilling” on the beach the entire time. What a guy.
