People Can’t Believe This Video Of United Airlines Destroying People’s Luggage

Reddit user TwoPointZero_gpa shared a video of their United Airlines flight on boarding luggage that has people laugh-crying. United has a pretty terrible reputation for how they handle people, so it’s not much of a surprise that the video captures them seemingly abusing objects. It appears to be taken from either a window or just outside of a plane, and you can see bags dropping all over the place.

In a comment they wrote, “To add context, these were people’s carry-on bags that were checked plane-side because there was no option to actually bring them on the plane.”

Bored Panda reports that lots of people in the comments were wondering if they were watching their own stuff get shoved around. They’d all flown United and they’d all gotten their bags back with sustained injuries:

But they eventually figured out that it was none of their bags, which kind of leads you to wonder how many bags get destroyed on a regular basis at this company:

This is the second bad baggage story from United this month. Comic-Con goers were shocked to see a sign at check in that demanded they remove their comics from their bags earlier in July:

The New York Times reports that United was claiming comics were banned from flights by the T.S.A., but it turns out they were misstating a recommendation, which the T.S.A. had to clear up with an official statement:

“While T.S.A. is recommending that customers keep their comic books in their carry-on bags, there are no restrictions on packing them in checked luggage. We misunderstood T.S.A.’s instructions and regret any inconvenience this may have caused our customers.”

They eventually apologized after breaking a lot of nerd hearts:

Oh, travel.
