It’s probably not surprising that Tito4re‘s YouTube experiment involving molten copper went horribly wrong, but the spectacle he created in the process is nothing short of incredible.
The user melted copper in his furnace and decided to see what would happen if he placed it on a huge block of ice. As you can probably imagine, things went wrong almost immediately.
If this guy had done a little bit of science homework in high school, he would have known that this is exactly what happens when two extreme temperatures meet. While the copper melted through the ice, the foundation of the block couldn’t take the steam, which caused pressure to build. That, my friends, is what led to the explosion. The more you know, right?
