If you have a bird feeder in your backyard, then we know you can relate to this story. Because too often the food we set out for our winged friends can become lunch for a hungry squirrel, no matter how hard we make it for them to reach. Then again, when it comes to all our previous efforts of keeping them at bay, we’ve never made anything as incredible as this.
Using a series of rotating, circular wooden obstacles, complete with spikes protruding from the edges, the owner of this bird feeder went all out. Little did he know, though, that the squirrel he’d be facing down actually trained as a ninja.
I guess squirrels really are smarter than we give them credit for…that, or they’re just willing to do ANYTHING to get some of those tasty bird food kernels.
