An elderly man in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, recently had his debit card stolen by his caretaker. She then abandoned him and began spending his money all around town. Eventually, the man called 911 and stated that he hadn’t eaten in two days. The emergency service dispatched police officers to his house immediately, but he never expected what happened next.

Since the story broke, the former caretaker has been arrested and the elderly man (who chose to not be named) has been eating healthily ever since. Let’s hope that his next caretaker isn’t such a terrible human being.
