He Arrived One Day Out Of The Blue, And Three Days Later, He Was Dead

If you live in a small town, it’s only natural to feel alarmed when someone new appears.

A man called himself Peter Bergmann. He arrived at a small town, stayed at a local hotel for three days, disappears without a trace, and is then found dead on a nearby beach.

Locals were surprised when he arrived…and were shocked when they discovered what happened to him.

In 2009, Peter Bergmann made his way to the small Irish town of Sligo.

Upon arriving by bus, Bergmann checked himself into a hotel in the center of town. Over the course of three days, Bergmann kept to himself and hardly spoke to anyone. Upon reviewing hotel security footage, police found that Bergmann seemed to be very aware of the cameras. They found multiple instances of the man staring directly at the cameras for long stretches of time.

Each day during his stay, Bergmann was spotted by hotel staff leaving the hotel in the morning with a purple plastic bag, and coming back later without it.

As he traveled through the town, the strange man seemed to know which routes would help him avoid public security cameras.

On his second day in town, Bergmann purchased some stamps. On the third day, he purchased a bus ticket to the nearby town of Rosses Point.

On his last day, Bergmann checked out the hotel and took a bus to Rosses Point. Security cameras spotted him at a cafe eating a contemplative lunch. That was the last time he was seen alive.

The next morning, Bergmann’s lifeless body was found on a nearby beach. Scary as that is, the surprises just kept coming.

Bergmann removed all of the tags from the clothing he was wearing. Upon examination by the coroner, it was found that despite being found on a beach, Bergmann did not die from drowning. The medical examiner found skeletal tumors, and the man was also in the advanced stages of prostate cancer.

Stranger still, as police continued to dig, they discovered that the man’s name was a pseudonym.

Bergmann used a fake name and address to check into the hotel. The address he gave at the front desk was for an empty lot just outside of Vienna, Austria.

Who was this mysterious man and what was he doing?

Despite years of investigating, police were never able to get to the bottom of this mystery. As with most stories like this, my money is on aliens.
